Weekend Highlights March 26 & 27

Welcome back! The weather has took a bit of a turn from last weekend. The warm weather seems to have gone away and we’re left with cold temperature and rain the next couple days. We’re Canadian though, we don’t let a little bad weather stop us from going out! Let’s take a look at some things happening in the community this weekend despite the weather!

The first event I’d like to share is Community Appreciation Day! Here at Backus-Page House Museum we are hosting a FREE pancake breakfast served with sausages and eggs! From 10am-4pm March 26th, 2022 come on out to the museum and join us for some sap boiling, kid zone, and tours through the house museum, Agricultural Centre, and Heritage Centre! This event is a mix of it all! We will also be showing our appreciation to those who have stuck with us through the pandemic and those who have volunteered their time whether that be at events, helping clean up the property, or participated in our Seniors Oral History Project! We would love to see you come out and say hello! New faces are always welcome! Make sure to dress warm and come with hungry stomachs!

If you have a hobby of crafting or love scrapbooking, the next event may be for you! Creative Memories is a class where you can learn how to arrange photos on a single page and format them for smaller spaces. Crop time and extra sketches will be available for you to try out! All you will need to bring is yourself and your basic tool kit. For more information click the link below! https://allevents.in/st%20thomas/creative-memories-class/200022143721108
