Mondays at the Manor – A Welcome Centre

As work is continuing on our grounds, we are also working on a new Welcome Centre. Our Heritage Barn, which is the former home of our agricultural artifacts, is getting a new role. Way back in 2018, we were able to install a new concrete floor in the barn, and it is now being put to good use.

Late last week, a group of volunteers, with help from some local teens, took brooms and labour to tidy things up and make it ready for all of you to visit. As part of the renovations of the grounds, we have been able to install hydro and we now have overhead lighting and we will soon have the ability to process admissions. Along with this new use, we will have a set of informational panels highlighting the history of the area. We are also in need of a carpenter or two to add to our barn. (Call Angela for more information and to offer your help)

Take a look at some of the before and after photos, then visit our website to purchase tickets for your visit and see our new panels. Oh, and don’t forget about our events this fall. The last pictures are flyers with more information.
