Welcome back! The weekends have been pretty slow the last couple months as the weather has started to change and school has been back in session. But don’t worry, this week we bring you a few fun activities to get out of the house and enjoy fun quality time with the family.
If you and your family are lovers of hockey, consider going to the local St. Thomas Stars Minor League hockey game! Experience a hockey game for the first time since the pandemic while supporting local sports clubs and facilities. Friday October 15th at 7:30pm, the Stars will be playing a home game against the London Nationals at the Joe Thorton Community Centre in St. Thomas. This Saturday at 7:30pm, catch the Stars in an away game up against the Rockets at the West Middlesex Memorial Arena in Strathroy. Who will you be cheering on?
Head over to Great Lakes Farms for some fall family fun! Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm. Experience a wagon ride around the farm and a trip through the corn maze. Afterwards, hand pick a variety of delicious apples from their homegrown orchard and harvest a few pumpkins while your at it! Kids can explore the Fun Farm, made up of straw mountain, pirate ship playground, a zipline, and many more! Relax and get some of your favourite fresh baked goods from the Apple Barn and Cafe. Relish in delicious pies, struddles, cookies, and muffins alongside some icecream and a beverage. You’re guaranteed to go home with a happy stomache!
