Weekend Highlights – April 23 & 24

Welcome back! Now that we’ve had our second winter, let’s hope spring will finally be upon us! Now lets see the events happening in the area this weekend!

Enjoy a ride on the Port Stanley Terminal Railway! The ride is fun for all ages! The train departs at 11am, 1pm, & 3pm. Adult tickets are $15, children 2-14 $9 plus tax! The train will be running Saturdays and Sundays from April to December! While the weather is looking good for this weekend why not tour the scenic area by train! Mothers Day is fast approaching! Whether your a soon to be mom, a new mom, a dog mom, or an experienced mom, Mommy and me-Mothers Day Minis is a great chance to get your photos taken for the occasion! Sunday April 24th Thousand Words Photography is setting up at Waterworks Park in St. Thomas. Ignite Youth Centre is throwing another movie night! The centre will be open at 6pm for recreation for ages 10-19 and the movie starts at 7pm. Like always, popcorn and snacks will be available! The Back Alley is hosting a live music night Saturday April 23th, and Sunday April 24th. The Back Alley also offers darts, pool, foosball, and Golf Simulators. Backus-Page House Museum is having our clean-up day Saturday April 23rd! If you’re looking to meet new people and volunteer your time, come help us out in cleaning up the house museum, heritage barn, Agricultural centre, and grounds! Now that we’ve gotten a look into what’s happening in Elgin County this weekend, here’s to hoping the weather holds out for us! Fingers crossed this rain we’re suppose to be getting passes right by!
