Meet the Trail Rider! Do you, a family member, or friend in need of mobility assistance want to explore the trails and soak in the wonders of nature found in the John E. Pearce Provincial Park? New to the museum is the Trail Rider, an all-terrain wheelchair! This specially designed single-wheel chair easily navigates the hiking trails surrounding the museum.
We are very excited about the possibilities this new piece of equipment might bring. We should all have access to the beautiful trails around us. This chair is easy to use; with two accompanying friends or family members it can smoothly traverse the narrow paths and wooded areas found in the park.
There are optional inserts to adjust the sizing for children, making sure everyone is as comfortable as possible.
The Trail Rider is available for rent by appointment or by drop-in on select dates.
