Weekend Highlights August 14 and 15

Welcome back to the weekend highlights! This weekend there’s some awesome events happening in the Elgin County area. Make sure to check out as many out as you can.

First off is the Horton Farmers market in St. Thomas. This amazing market happens every Saturday from 8-12 at 10 Manitoba Street. There’s always so many vendors including fresh produce, Streamliners Espresso Bar for your morning coffee, fresh homemade bread and more. This week they are staying open late with everything still opening at 8am but the patio staying open till 2pm with a few vendors staying late as well. Be sure to check it out and when you’re done buying all your fresh produce get something to drink and hangout on the patio.

After a nice relaxing time at the market head over to the Wetland and Spicer trails both here in Wallacetown right beside us at Backus-Page House 29424 Lakeview Line Wallacetown. They are both beautiful trails that are perfect to get your whole family out of the house for a little bit of family fun. When you’re all done walking the two trails be sure to check us out here at Backus-Page House for a tour! We’re open all weekend from 11-4 for tablet guided tours.

Finally Merchants at the Museum happening August 21 and 22 both days 9-4. We will be hosting a historic market fair full of merchants, crafts and games! Mark it on your calendars because you don’t want to miss this! More information coming next week.
